Detroit's Strand have been turning out the sort of techno we associate with the Motor City since 1991. They have all the different styles in their arsenal and now are back with three more sizzlers on their own Harbonder. 'ABAR' is a spaced out and syncopated groove that looks to the future on glistening Midwest pads and relentless stabs. There is more of an electro vibe to the cosmic boom-bap of '3 Piece', which his also littered with bright and pixelated keys. Last of all, 'Tensioner' is an intricate tune that melts ethereal strings with synthetic keys and gets powered by a classic Strand bassline.
